My 60 year old mother who can't cook recently discovered tiktok, specifically cooking tiktok. She sous vided a steak in a ziplock bag a few days ago because the algorithm fed her a recipe for it. I was hesitant to eat it because heating a disposable plastic bag doesn't seem like the safest way to cook food, but it was honestly pretty good and really tender despite being well done. Way better than if she had tried to cook a steak normally in a cast iron.
