Shredded is for incels
Block is for sex-haverá
Simple as

>> No.20039291

You only need one of those spiny graters and it can grate so many things in seconds with little effort. Cleaning the thing is the only downside of it.

normal graters are easy to clean
I just use a bottle brush in the sink right after using it

>> No.20039367

>takes some time
takes like 3 minutes, honestly cleaning the crater is more of a pain in the dick than actually shredding

>> No.20039370

There is almost always enough downtime when cooking to grate cheese. The grater goes in the dishwasher at my house and comes out 100% clean

>> No.20039379

Only other con for block is when grated, the shredded cheese from it will stick together.

second class state for second class npcs.

Right for nachos, tacos, and burritos
Left for everything else.
I may or may not have literally forgotten that you can simply grate the left. I assume subconscious memory erasal because I hate cleaning graters.

If you have a space for it outside, a pressure washer saves so much time on certain dishes. Anything metal and not fragile can be done with a quick pressure wash. My backdoor is right next to my kitchen so I just walk out with the pot full of metal utensils and stuff and hold it down with a long stick so it doesn't fly off while washing and I don't hurt my hand with the water.

>shredded is LESS expensive

What? Literally never true anywhere at all unless you're buying premium cheese.

>> No.20040436

Imagine shredding a whole block of cheese.

I like to buy cheddar sliced since it's usually going onto a sandwich.
Pretty easy to chop up if you need it smaller.

I've never seen that once.

>> No.20041748

Use a toothbrush to clean the finest side of a box grater. The side of the grater that turns hard cheeses like parmigiano into fine cheese powder for things like carbonara or alfredo. You're welcome.

>> No.20041765

>>20039285
It's irrelevant since I never buy cheese, it's too expensive.
>inb4 poorfag
I can easily afford it but that's beside the point, I refuse to enable/support price gouging and naked profiteering. It doesn't need to cost that much.

>Often less expensive than block cheese

It's the complete opposite in my country, which is another reason why block is superior.

In American shredded might be cheaper if its on sale and block isn't. Saw that once before anyway.

It doesn't go bad that fast anon.. you could probably stretch a 4th a block over 5 tacos
