thick cut tomatoes are disgusting
v-cut mandolines should be standard at all fast food places because I don't expect wagies to cut vegetables thinly.

thick cut is good when tomato is the focus of the dish like in a BLT or caprese, otherwise yeah you're right but literally no one disagrees this is a retarded thread

I actually like it when my slice of tomato at McD's is twice as thick as the beef patty.

Tomatoes are rarely worthwhile
I went for 30 years thinking I don't like tomatoes and then the old man across the street gave me some from his garden and I realized I had never even had a tomato before
I don't know what those pink snot balls I'd been getting served my whole life are

tomatoes are a logistical challenge for grocery stores. if they're anywhere near ripe they rot immediately and go bad, and if they aren't ripe they're cardboard.

also never buy tomatoes when it's not tomato season where you live. they'll be picked and shipped green from a completely different hemisphere and the shit is not only not ripe but it's also not fresh at all
