Always actually buy a decent amount of stuff to ward off suspicion. Never pocket anything in the area you took it from, just put it in your cart and walk around for a while adding other items until you have a good chance to surreptitiously slide it onto your person. Make sure you don't look around behind your back like you're doing something wrong, that'll attract suspicion.

walmart brand $5 pizzas, and their cooked chickens are a good deal for lunch/dinner meals. You can buy cabbage and a carrot or two and make a slaw that will last for a while, just add some mayo and ranch or mustard or hot sauce etc. With some rice or bread you can make an asian, mexican, or bbq meal pretty easily with just that alone. Add cheese and cold cuts, fresh veg and have sandwiches, reuse the chicken bones for stock, etc. Just keep trying to reuse what you can while diversifying so you don't feel poor.
Breakfast? Coffee, maybe a fried egg and toast with butter and minced garlic, or hot sauce, or whatever. Or scrambled egg w/cheese on toast and pan fried lunch meat. Corned beef hash with an egg is good too. Or SPAM and rice and an egg. Bacon is basically good for any meal, and that's undeniable. (sprinkle some brown sugar on it and bake it in the oven, it's a great dessert).

i cooked some fresh peppers and garlic and added some canned beans (3 different kinds) and canned shredded pork (w/ juices) to it. i added all the liquids from the cans but not all at once, i added some to the hot pan to deglaze after cooking the garlic and peppers and to get some extra reduction while I simmered the rest in another pot. it was fkn good

tofu is pretty cheap. i know a dude who makes his own from bulk soybeans, plus you get some byproducts that can also be used like this protein rich powder that can be used to make bread. i'm gonna learn to do it. idgaf about soi. it's also really easy to cook with tofu

Switch down to two meals a day. Buy a couple pounds of your favorite grain. Cook it into a gruel. Eat the gruel and remind yourself that thousands of years of your ancestors survived off gruel.
But you're also better than your ancestors even if you're a beet. Add shit to your gruel, just get what ever meat and produce is on sale. Add it to your gruel
I know it sounds lame but I've been eating gruel for years now because I got tired of shopping and meal prep. I still eat like a normal modern human on the weekends but I peasant max on the weekdays

variations on beans and rice, my man. rice + lentils, etc. use dry beans which are fuckin cheap as shit, even if you buy the fancy ones, which i do, because i'm insufferable. toss in whatever aromatics and/or veg you have. it's way hard to fuck up beans and rice, and it's delicious and healthy. the two foods are actually very nutritionally complimentary, adding up to a full protein together. there's a good reason this is a staple food all over the world.

>> No.19948807

If you’re talking extreme poverty then there’s a few foods that you can get that aren’t the typical “lmao processed shit like hot dogs” or “rice and beans forever”
Cabbage is super healthy and dirt fucking cheap. It can be eaten raw, made into slaw, cooked, boiled, baked, stir fried, the options are endless and all the chink cultures have cabbage in fucking everything.
Speaking of chinks, Asian radishes are healthy and dirt fucking cheap as well. Really every root vegetable sells for dirt cheap.
Add in tofu which is also very cheap and you’ve got poverty friendly Asian stew.
Away from the chink shit you’ve got chicken drumsticks and/or chicken quarters which are regularly sold for about $1/lb. I shouldn’t have to tell how about chicken.
Pork neck/stew meat also sells for like $2/lb, and so does ham.
Eggs can be pricy sometimes but I find medium eggs to be a steal. I’m able to get like 36 of them for $5.
All in all you could foodshop and buy ham cabbage tofu chicken eggs and carrots.
Now you have options:
>ham and eggs
>sandwich of ham or leftover chicken
>stews of a million varieties
>soups of a million varieties
>Fried chicken and coleslaw
>roast chicken or ham over a bed of vegetables cooking in the drippings

Always buy on a deal if you can. Smart shopping will save you tons of money if you're conscious of when you buy things. If you're cooking it tonight, the manager's special that looks like it'd be old in 2 days is fine.
Pork is always cheaper in the fall, Walmart tends to be the place I find is best for cheap prepackaged food items while I coupon at HEB for fresh fruits and veggies and decent meat. Plenty of stores let you use an app or clip them outta newspapers if you don't wanna give out your info. Just be aware of these things on top of other tips and you can be frugal as shit

This, you can also easily substitute in a cheaper meat like ground pork with basically zero difference. I just use a large shopping bag with one of those hard bottoms you can remove. Put whatever stuff I want under there with a white cloth over it like I'm just protecting from spillage, use the self-service and just ring up all the cheap, bulky stuff. If you nix the hard bottom there's only the cloth so you can just say it got covered on accident if you get caught but the stiffness hides the items underneath better. Pros and cons I guess. Hidden items are flat and snug against the bottom.

I've never been caught but I had to stop as my shop put up automatic random searches that block your screen until staff checks your bag. So far they only just peek at the top but if a single employee gave a fuck and actually checked I'd have to go through the embarassment and it doesn't seem worth it for a free pound of meat and cheese every time I shop. Was nice for a while though.

>> No.19959151

>>19959144
Other general tips from when a time where I just pocketed the stuff:
-If you're not a teen, go through the self-serve when teens are coming through as they move in groups and are noisy/suspicious enough so the staff focuses on them.
-Don't look at the cameras obviously, if you have to find a nice spot to pocket stuff scout ahead.
-Plan your way through the shop mentally before hand. Impulse theft
-Always keep moving and acting natural, surveillance guys (if they're even watching) are looking for people that are behaving differently.
-If you get a whiff of any suspicion on you, give up the steal entirely (this is why having the stuff in your bag already is superior because you can just transition over naturally if you need to).
-Do it during rush hour as attention is more divided with a larger number of customers and the problems that come with it. It sucks getting caught in front of a large number of people though...
-If you go through the classic cashier with a trolley, you can put one bulky item on that bottom rung right in front of your feet (what is that even for?). Again, if you get caught you can just say you forgot you put it there. My roommate got us free milk through all of college like this (milk is expensive in my country). Approx 1300 euros saved.
-If your shop lets you weigh your veggies in a brown bag, you can put whatver you want in there and just weigh it as potatoes so it's cheap. Meats, candy etc etc. The brown bag acts as free cover.

Anyways in the end it's not worth the repeated risk and once you've done it a dozen times you get sloppy because of how easy and normal it becomes. Zero guilt though, having worked in those shops no one gives a fuck so it's consequence free. Once I had money it didn't seem worth the trouble really.

For breakfast I've been doing
1-2 sausages oatmeal, and coffee

>Jumbo chicken sausages (5 for $4 at food depot)
>Oatmeal ($1.25 dollar tree)
>brown sugar ($1.25 dollar tree)
>Rasins (1.25 dollar tree)
> Salt (1.25 dollar tree)

You could eat if for 5 days off the $10 before tax too

Many of my meals are spreads of whatever is marked down in the produce section, bakery, and deli. All the stuff from pic related only cost me $14 bucks and I ate it for 3 lunches.

Do I have $10 for each or total? I'm guessing each.
Breakfast: eggs
Lunch: usually skip it but usually leftovers of a dinner.
Dinner: a nice lentil stew with some meat in it. Just get a pack of sausage or whatever shit you want and throw it in.

everytime you ask which anime you should watch
>/a/ says boku no pico
everytime you ask which os you should install
>/g/ says gentoo
everytime you ask which crypto you should buy/hodl
>/biz/ says link
everytime you ask which food you should eat

I've accidentally stolen 12-packs of soda many times time by putting them in the undercarriage section of my shopping cart. I just forget that I put it there and walk out without scanning it. Some grocery stores have sensors on their self-checkouts that detect it but many don't and the minimum wagies don't give enough of a shit to pay attention

I've literally paid for them, and then forgot to take them off of the bottom of the cart when loading my car. Carts are chaotic neutral in their very nature.

idk where you live but store brand shredded cheese is at most $2 for 8oz where I am and often on sale for cheaper, blocks too if you shred yourself but watch out for 6oz blocks, they think they're clever. bacon is also constantly on sale, the most you would need to pay is like $4/lb which lasts long if you aren't a giant fatass.

Bro the Huns lived off dairy.
When the Mongols invaded China, they noted how the Chinese soldiers lived off gruel and were malnourished with poor teeth.
