The only place that even competes with them is McDonald's (sheer momentum) and Chipotle (also staffed almost entirely by white people). This. Like 95% of the wait staff at Jesus Chicken is white in my area, the employees are usually middle-class too. The service is far and away better than any other fast food place, most of which employ 95% blacks or low-class whites with neck tattoos, etc..

They also have a small army of Latina cooks in the back, so they can get you order out faster than any other place, even though they have three to four times as many customers. It's pretty impressive. You pay a small premium and get faster, more polite service, it's as simple as that.

So it passes a sanity check for me. Every single Chick-Fil-A location I've ever seen is always busy. Long lines at meal times, never empty except when it's closed on Sundays, and lines usually get processed efficiently. CFA is always the busiest restaurant at the food court and you'll see people carrying bags all over the Airport. Meanwhile I pass by Popeyes and KFC locations that are regularly empty. Long lines at Popeyes or KFC are the exception to the rule, usually because there's some kind of event nearby or it's otherwise in a prime location. Alternately, the line might be long because somebody didn't show up to work, the sullen staff can't keep up and nobody gives a shit, which almost never happens at CFA.
