19798101 No.19798101 [Reply] [Original]

Anons, I work at a pizza place and get to make myself a free pizza after every shift. As of today, I have entered my pizza experimentation arc. My first creation is the Banana Pineapple Pizza. It was actually fantastic, with an excellent tropical flavor. I almost wonder if it could be improved by the addition of coconut.

There are two reasons for this thread. First, to share this discovery with the world. Second, to solicit opinions on what other strange toppings to try. Sauerkraut is tomorrow. After that, the future is wide open.

Sauerkraut is actually phenomenal if you don't burn in too much. Gotta leave just enough juice so that it doesn't soak through. A supreme pizza with kraut is fucking amazing.

I had Domino's once and that looks like Domino's. Also
>Sauerkraut
Mite b cool.
I've done kimchi, both baked on the pizza and just added later, and that shit was delicious both ways.
Last pizza I made was English breakfast pizza. Sauce was the sauce from a tin of beans topped with cheddar topped with the beans themselves plus rashers, bangers, scrambled eggs, fried tomatoes and fried mushrooms. I didn't think black pud would go well so I left it out.
Are you able to do something like that?

>> No.19799784

>>19799751
It isn't Domino's. I do see the resemblance in the picture, though imo our pizza tastes better than theirs. It's a regional chain.
I don't have the ability to fry anything sadly, and being a vegetarian I can't eat the bacon or sausages, so I think that idea won't work. Eggs are awesome though, maybe could do that with another idea.

Are you in America? I live in the US and tried some vegetarian "breakfast sausage" a few years ago. I think it was by Beyond. While it wouldn't pass for a proper Lincolnshire sausage or even a typical American breakfast sausage, its taste and texture was surprisingly similar to turkey sausage. Maybe that'll work for you if you omit the other meat products.

I've never done this, but do you think beetroot might be nice on a pizza? Couldn't be any worse than banana lmao

>> No.19800187

>>19799946
I am. I've had some of the beyond meat before, but desu I wasn't super impressed. Plus it's kind of expensive. I've been a vegetarian since very young, so I never really "miss" the meats and stuff that other people eat, which is what those fake meat products seem to be aimed at: people who became vegetarians later in life and therefore want something to replace what they ate before.
Never had beetroot before. Any ideas what else to use with it?

Good evening anons. I was in the mood for something sweet and so decided to forgo the sauerkraut plan and instead implement >>19798295 's idea. Pears, dates, honey. The dates are substituting for figs, which I couldn't find. Luckily, I tried one beforehand and discovered that they had pits, so I had a chance to remove them and avoided the disaster of a pizza with pits in it.

>>19801114
I may have overdone it with the honey. That plus the sweetness of the dates means I don't taste the pear much. Also, it has created a large puddle of honey/pear juice mixture in the box, requiring me to eat the pizza with latex gloves on. I would say that this pizza is also a success, but I am getting the urge to prophesy unto the jews, which is a bit awkward desu
