Checked. I avoid restaurants for similar reasons but unlike you, my enemies are not clandestine and obscure, they are rather easy to spot, an eye sore even. It's those damn low wage workers to whose survival I don't want to contribute with my easily earned money.

Yes.
I prefer it, even. The quiet without having to feel the stress of not filling it is really nice.
Also I can read my book while being waited on. Makes me feel special.

I was at a crowded bar last night, even to the point of people shoving me, but most of them weren’t interested in conversation. I tried to talk to the two black guys on either side of me but they didn’t wasn’t to talk. I just talked to some gay Mexican guy most of the evening, but he didn’t even want to go back to mine

all of my friends are broke, or at least unwilling to spend a lot of money on a nice meal, so yes, i have gotten fancy sushi dinners alone. steak too

even when i try to treat or heavily subsidize a dinner at a fancy place (usually for a special occasion, or if we're traveling together), my friends might act weird and not order a full meal, even if i tell them it's okay to get drinks, starters, dessert, etc. because it's on me and i want to have a good time (sometimes they feel better if they give me a little cash). it's annoying
