Those are some of the worst ones. All pop tarts are just sugary bs anyway

They taste like cardboard with sugar and jelly. They are good for exactly 2 things. Easily packable calories for when you are camping. And feeding your unwanted children in the 20 minutes between waking them up and putting them on the bus.

I haven't eaten a poptart sine the early 2010s. I didn't think they could get worse but I'll take your word for it.

Cloyingly sweet in the middle with a flavorless, dry, crumbly dough. These are high up on the list of foods that seem better in theory than reality. You can get a better experience from buying the knock offs than the real thing

These things are barely a step up from industrial waste. They are merely a delivery system for massive amounts of sugar and HFCS, designed to make you HUNGRIER after the original sugar rush wears off.
Truly, any Pop-Tart eaters should reflect on trying to remember the first time they ate them and how they were "Just Ok"
Toaster strudels weren't any better for you, but at least they tasted amazing,(unless you burned them...Then you could taste the chemicals)
I'm curious why more people haven't made their own version. seems like a decent shortbread recipe, filled with preserves of your choice, or if you hadda go Turbo-Lardass, stripes of nutella and marshmallow fluff, then frosted with a simple 10x and lemon juice icing after baking would be far superior.
But I still wouldn't eat 'em for breakfast.

An extremely sweet version of whatever flavor is on the box.

>> No.19763832

they were good when served hot. (lots of people eat them cold for some reason). They're more like cookies than a baked pastry. Imagine a hot cookie filled with melted chocolate or blueberry filling

>> No.19763838

they're good frozen and no other way for some reason.

>> No.19763839

Pure sugar and gross. The strawberry ones are the only semi edible ones. Diabetes rectangles.

>> No.19763864

>>19763078
I only ate them as a kid because I could make them myself and it was a changeup from cereal. And even then they were meh. I switched to toaster strudels before getting tired of those too

the dough part is always dry and dense, so was the frosting. The only appeal is the convenience

the smores ones that are slathered in chocolate are good but are more like a hot dessert

Me and my brother used to steal the icing packs from the Toaster Strudels and eat them when we were little and my mom would get pissed

Basically this. The jelly is that fake fruit taste you get from any number of candies that's barely any different whether it's strawberry, cherry, or raspberry. They're an entirely skippable food.

underwhelming, has that "formulated to sit on the shelf for years" taste
toasted, it's not good, just OK
room temp, it's bottom-tier snack food

You're all snobs who would happily eat a poptart if offered. I fucking hate this board. I just had a toasted one today with milk and it was fantastic. Get over yourselves you faggy pieces of shit.

makes sense. the pastry was just a frosting delivery vehicle anyway.
no worse than eating all the marshmallows in lucky charms

unsure if i was just retarded as a kid or they taste worse now
probably both

Have you actually eaten cardboard? I have and they taste nothing alike. At best they're a mild powdery biscuit like texture, but the actual flavor of cardboard is nowhere near the same

They're about as poorfag as poorfag gets, anon. I've never been a huge fan of them, they're basically just soft, kinda bland graham crackers with cheap fruit or other sugary filling and overly sweet frosting, and they aren't very substantial or filling. I'd much rather have sausage and eggs or something similar for breakfast

>> No.19766783
