>A fish market closed in St. Louis back in March.
>The owners ran off back to California and left 1.5 tons of fish in the building over the summer.

If you knew the place, you probably wouldn't be surprised.

Back in 2020, at the Jewel-Osco near me, late in the scamdemic like probably May or June, two guys were wandering around without masks on, and some nigger bitch blew a gasket and stood there screaming at the cashiers for at least half an hour about how blacks are especially vulnerable and in these times of white supremacy she demands everyone mask because Black Lives Matter and she's not gonna die because no crackers refused to mask up with this deadly virus going around . . . anyway, the store called 911 and there were half a dozen cops standing around watching this bitch scream, until finally they gently herded her outside.

Akshually, thinking about it, it had to have been closer to an hour, 'cause the store manager had to get annoyed enough to call the cops and then the cops had to take their sweet time to show up and then they still stood around and let her scream some more.

Shit was hilarious.

Same store, some crackhead nigger started talking to me in the aisle, begged me for money to buy food, and when I told him I had no cash, he apparently followed me around in the store, because he rushed behind me at the register and verified that I really was paying everything with a debit card. Then, while I was driving out, he tried jumping in front of my car to cause an accident so he could grift money out of me.

Fuck, I hate niggers.

If it's related in anyway, it doesn't look like it was ever listed under the company website. Their wiki entry history also doesn't mention anything about it.

The building seemed like a "Used-to-be-a-Kmart" and seemed pretty unregulated in general. Total lack of proper overhead seems like management only went as high as the building owner.

after going over it a few times, i think what has happened here is they're placing the severity of a dead body on a higher pedestal. like the quality of deadness is inherently tied to human remains, and to compare fish bodies (a sort of being many rungs lower on the importance ladder) to human bodies comes off as amusing whimsy. obviously this is incredibly silly since to be dead is a possible state observable in fish and mammals alike. unless it's a truly hilarious pun in the local dialect i think it is just bad writing, whatever they meant by it.

Also, I forgot my story. During the start of quarantine when everyone was buying up all the (liquid) soap in stores, I realized I needed soap. So I went to Publix and saw that it was buy one, get one for two bar soap packages. The entire aisle was empty where the liquid soap was and no one wanted bar soap. As I put two in my cart, a Publix worker started yelling at me saying that I don't have to buy two. She seemed really mad about it too and she wasn't one of the stockers. I have no idea what the fuck she was doing in the aisle but I argued back and forth saying it's buy one, get one and I have no soap at home. Eventually I left the aisle with my cart because I was tired of her shit. The best part is that it wasn't even the good soap. It was the cheapest, generic crappy white bar soap that strips all the oils off your skin.
After all of that I started buying soap online. I'm not dealing with the weirdos in Publix.

A similar thing happened in suburban Philadelphia. A superfresh/A&P got closed with no notice to the managers or employees. Corporate expected the managers to empty and trash all the merchandise, but they just let the fires employees take whatever they wanted and then just locked the doors with all the rest of the shit just rotting away in a building with no power.
Within 3 months there was a rat infestation and when they found out it was the supermarket they hit the corporate with fines and made them pay for a hazmat team to clear the place out and exterminate the rats
