Agree that they've all become disgustingly expensive for what they are, which is premade, shipped and reheated slop at most of these places. but chain dine-in restaurants basically do the same thing.
Broke people use coupons. I live in an apartment where my mailbox is full of junk mail and I always get a full page of coupons for burger king, popeyes, wendys, subway and carls jr. Other places like McDonalds and Chipotle put their coupons and rewards on the app so they can farm your data.

Real answer: None of them. Most of them charge way too much for something that isn't even worth the money, and in the case of burger joints take an extra arm and leg off for the fries and drink. I stopped going to McD's when I realized that their serving portions were pitifully small while charging increasingly more, and the last "food" I bought at Pizza Hut was a pasta that I realized I could have just made myself at home for a fraction of what I paid.

I mainly buy at local chains nowadays, and only if I don't feel like cooking for myself and/or feel like eating unhealthy. Only times I buy fast food are if I'm on the road/vacation and don't have access to my kitchen. Depending on the country you visit one of these restaurants in, the cost might actually be worth it.

Maybe if you've moved or travelled around the country a bunch, a lot of chains are regional. I've never been to the east coast for example so I've never been to a White Castle or a Checkers or anything, if I had to guess I'd say I've probably been to like 15-20 different chains in my life

>> No.19714549

>>19714505
Sounds doable if you count small local ones that only exist in a single state. Using the OP image as an example (and ignoring that it fucked up by differentiating Hardee's and Carl's Jr which are both the exact same thing), the average American will have probably eaten at a minimum of 27 of those places by the time they're 18 years old. Smaller localized chains within car distance of one's house (Eegee's, Quiznos, Wawa, etc.) will probably give you another 5-10 easy. Toss in vacation travel to other states and countries, and you're probably already there before you hit 30 years of age.

Quality control vs rapid expansion. If Bojangles decided to open next to every KFC in the country the product would suffer. It's the reason hardly anyone has heard of Braums, they only open locations within a one day truck trip from their home farms in Oklahoma.
