A BLT has potential, but cold bacon is nasty. I was put off them for years after eating a ready made refrigerated BLT from the shops. My homemade one is far nicer. Sear the tomatoes in the pan then get some some rye sourdough spread with chosen sauce/avocado/pickles and add rocket or other colourful leaves.

Here's how you make a proper sandwich:
Step 1: Toast two slices of bread.
Step 2: "Butter" the bread slices (on side of each slice only) with congealed bacon lard.
