Too many people meal prep a full week of bland food that’s the exact same. If you put a little effort in, though, it can pretty easily be varied quite a bit—especially if you make new meals, condiments, sides, etc… throughout the week to add.

You should mealprep 3 days at a time and not for the entire week. Also, you should only really bother prep your proteins and sauces. Rice/quinoa/beans/etc are set it and forget it easy to cook and you can even throw beans in a slow cooker before work. The only reason to prep rice ahead of time is if you're going to let it dry out in the fridge to do a quick fried rice with each portion.

I meal prep for mon-fri and cook fresh/ eat out on sat-sun. my food never goes bad or even loses quality by friday, and i vary the kind of stuff i make each week so it doesn't get boring. picrel, red curry rice with garlic pork chops.

i wouldn't have time to make quality/healthy/tasty food if i had to cook every single night.

That's because your cuckprep meals suck. They started bad and by the end of the week they still suck, so you don't notice a drop in quality. Because there never was quality to begin with

Normies don't know how to plan around leftovers. If I make four portions of something at dinner, then I've got lunch and dinner sorted for the next day and lunch sorted for the day after that. Obviously you have to plan around things that will still be good as leftovers, but that's fine for me.

Making a big pot/dish of something that cooks better/easier in a large batch and having it for 4 days is one thing. Pan frying 4 chicken breasts and then cutting it up into 7 meals is something entirely different. What's the worst thing that's going to happen if you get home one day and don't feel like cooking? You eat a peanut butter sandwich and some ramen noodles? Better than subsisting off of bland semi-shelf-stable mush which lost its texture 4 days ago.

leftovers and freezing the time-consuming parts of meals are both great. prepping a week of food is stupid, though. at most you want to prep some vegetables a few days ahead and defrost some spag bol, otherwise you're getting stale food.

OP is just retard tier meal prep. The real deal is homemade pickles/preserved food as a part of the real meal, maybe some frozen pierogi/pasta. You can use leftover potaotes or rice to turn them into a meal the next day. You can make a pancake batter a night before, or marinate the meat. That's the real meal prep, and it helps.

Sometimes if I make a big batch of pasta I'll store some in old lunch meat containers for weekday lunches but by about day 3 I'm sick of them. Taking 5 minutes to make a sandwich and give a few scraps of meat to my dogs during the process is much more enjoyable.

I want it to work but it's always dependent on microwaving it back up, which ruins most food. Last time I made chicken and rice, then the leftovers, the chicken turned from a delicious taste and texture to a shadow of its former self. The chicken turned gross and stringy since all moisture gets microwaved out. Air fryer or bust.

>> No.19611339

This is how I know we've been conquered by Reddit troons.

You don't need to eat only one prepped food all week. You don't need to ration them out like a military regimen.

What you do is you prep 2-3 different meals as needed when you care to. I have stew cooking in the crock pot and it gets eaten at various points when I want to eat it. I bake biscuits as needed. I cook quinoa and chicken in the rice cooker when needed.

Then you have 2 or 3 dishes all week and can have variety whenever you want it.

You can meal prep multiple things concurrently or sequentially to ensure a variety of foods throughout the week. It frontloads food prep instead of distributing it evenly between days. This is not required to also unify the meals under one dish.
