actually a greed issue. first the fields weren't producing so the sauce production was delayed. then the farmers realized the shortage increased demand so they tried to raise their prices. the company refused to pay the inflated price so the farmers started selling to other companies and using the peppers to make their own sauce to sell while demand was hot. now there's so many new brands that the farmers are spread thin again and huy can't acquire enough product to resume production.
