I haven't bought a soda from a can when I'm outside in ages. I just imagine them sitting in a dirty, dusty warehouse with vermin crawling around everywhere and a stocker with dirty hands putting them in the fridge and then the cashier who handles money from god knows who, including hobos, scanning it often grabbing it by the top and giving it to me.

This severly limits my selection of drinks when I'm outside. Can anyone here help me get rid of this fear?

Where are you buying a single soda in an actual can that is also not just a vending machine? How limiting is this when such a thing is fucking weird to run into since the early 90s anyway?

>> No.19461775

Buy cases? They get wrapped in plastic/sealed in a box nearly instantly so the chances of some filth element in the factory getting in would have to be while it's in the manufacturing process. Pretty narrow window.

quitting your carbonated cornsyrup water habit is good anon. i don't see this as a problem, it's a win for you.
you're correct that those cans are dirty as shit, if you really need to drink that trash just wipe the top with your shirt and try not to think about it lmao

Soda cans are packaged and shipped in sealed plastic-wrapped palettes so the only time that people touch them post-factory is when the shop workers open a palette to stock a fridge or shelf.

And you can't carry sanitizer or wipes because...? You paranoid hypochondriacs should have it down pat by now after you made everyone suffer in 2020.

Wipe it with something. This way you smear any impurities or fecal matter fully around the rim, thus ensuring you get a proper mouthful with every refreshing, delicious sip.

if you've ever slung stock and seen the inside of a warehouse, you'll always wash the tops henceforth

It's true but right now we still need men to carry the small boxes into a pallet
Then the walmarter or w/e handles the can
The vermin crawling is unlikely because storages have a ton of clean traps

Sometimes I'm allowed to walk to the gas station and buy a soda, 99 cents and 7cents for tax. The man there always lets me give him a dollar though. Sometimes I get a pepsi

I while ago I bought a few 12-packs of Pepsi and the cans had a bunch of dried soda on them.
I still rinse them off before opening.

The contents of the can will do significantly more damage to you than whatever is on the outside of it. Just drink water.

The metal used in cans is a natural antibacterial, it's literally not possible for you to catch something from them. Think about it for two seconds, billions of cans of soda are sold worldwide. And yet you never hear a story about someone getting sick from drinking one.

Bro everything is filthy, if you think the warehouse is bad think about the check out counter. People are putting leaky packages of meat and produce on that conveyor belt all day long. How often does the wagie clean the belt, how well does the wagie clean the belt? All your groceries are contaminated. I once met a woman who bought a single apple every day and put it on the belt and then ate it immediately and had to break the bad news to her.

Using soap and water, you should always wash any soda cans and food cans you buy from the super market, especially that circular pit just before the rim on top of the can. Let them dry somewhere and then put them in storage or in the fridge as desired.

You don't know the storage situation of these factories, warehouses, and supermarkets. You don't know if cockroaches or rats have walked all over them or even pissed or shit on top.

Roaches are actually extremely clean. There is no recorded record of anyone getting sick because a roach walked on top of something that was ingested.
