Richfags of /ck/, are Wolf stoves really so good that they're worth $5,000-15,000?

I had one but it bit me so I had to put it down. Dog stoves for me from now on, thanks. They're loyal.

I used to buy kitchen appliances for a regional chainnd they were dogshit. Just bog standard made in China junk for $600 because the knob matches and their target market slobs knob. They sold to RV people.

Not really worth it, they're nice, but certainly not worth what the sticker price is.

I've been using this for a decade now and while it is great, I paid $3,500 for a floor model on clearence.

You're paying for niche features at that price level. Do they cook better? Sure, they probably do and they better for costing more than three times as much as a comparable consumer model. At the same time, all of those features tend to break more frequently so you have higher upkeep costs, making them even more expensive to own. Your standard or mid-tier models are probably more than enough for almost any home level cook. I really enjoy cooking and would never consider a Wolf/Thermador/etc. A Kitchen Aid, JennAir, GE Profile, or high end Bosch is where I would go if it was my money.

No. The real flex is upgrading kitchen to meet building code for a commercial range and getting a Garland.

Sad but funny story - bought new house...had wolf stove...move in - buy nice high end bed and furniture...day after we move in wife goes to Target and never comes home. Proceeds to divorce rape me and take house. Never use wolf stove and about a million other crazy storied about all of it. FmL moment8a2dtvs ensue.

For those sorts of prices you can get custom finished dual fuel ranges with better burners, also available in custom layouts. When I eventually remodel my home I might end up springing for something like that.
