I am trying to make healthier choices but its hard sometimes to figure out which one is better

Right now I could have ham and cheese sandwich on whole wheat and cream of mushroom soup

Or

A big bowl of Raisin Brans in milk with a cutup banana

Which of these is the healther choice ?

how do we know which meal would be healthier for you if we don't know what your health goals are (fat loss, muscle gains, longevity, something else) or what the rest of your diet looks like?

If you haven't eaten a lot of protein today and you're trying to cut fat then you should probably go for the first meal. If you're going for longevity and you haven't eaten a high fibre diet (i.e. no fruits and vegetables) then the second might be better
