KFC's quality, perhaps moreso than any other fast food place, relies heavily on the individual franchise owner, as KFC gives them a lot of leeway to do things their own way.
This used to mean you'd have good KFC in some places, and bad KFC in other places
Now after the recent events of the last few years and the state of the fast food industry in general, it means there is no more good KFC because everybody is cutting as many corners as possible

Tbh I make some pretty incredible fried chicken for a fraction of the price.

Thigh or bone in. I usually just buy a whole chicken for £5 and get 4 breast/rib cuts, 2 drums, 2 thighs and wangz. Use the carcass for gravy of course.

Marinade in 1/2 cup cornflour, 1/4 flour, 1tsp baking soda, 2 eggs. Salt the mixture generously and add garlic & ginger purée.

Then just fry the chicken straight from that and it comes out delicious.
