Substitute cream for Greek yogurt or cream cheese
Instead of frying potatoes boil them then roast them in the oven with a little oil
Eat only carbs with breakfast
Have a salad and a glass of water before lunch and dinner
Eat just the egg whites not the whole egg
Substitute part of the sugar you use with artificial sweetener, seriously you can do 70/30 without noticing any difference
Instead of flour look up recipes that use oats
Dark cacao powder, cinnamon, lemon and vanilla can easily add flavor to your meals without adding calories but you can also look up other extracts and essence, almond extract and sesame oil combined taste similar to peanut butter
Look up salad dressings, there are tons and they are healthy as long as you measure correct Portion
There are tons of soups too which are filling because they have lots of salt and water and can taste pretty good while having as many calories as a piece of fruit
Make your own broth, broth has as many calories by weight as soda but one cup of broth with Vegetables and two crackers can be a low calorie breakfast or snack
Stews are a way to make lean beef or chicken flavorful without adding calories

Learn to be in touch with your body's actual needs beyond your cravings, then eat a moderate amount of what it is needing.
Exercise and train plenty too, and make sure you are getting the nutrition too.

Meats, fruit and rice might be something you would like. Just make sure you are not eating junk, and you'll be fine.
Junk, as in artificial or "overdone" meals which have more calories and fat than you require.
It's your choice, so, choose wisely and eat only what you need. After all, you know yourself better than we know you.

get your steps in every day. that's literally it. track your steps with your phone or a fitbit or something and walk 10-15k steps per day, depending on your current weight/goals. if you walk 20k steps a day you can eat anything and will lose weight.

protip: if you're going to go from 0 to this, invest in some good shoes + insoles.

You learn how to cook delicious food using whole ingredients and just don't overeat. There's no reason you can't eat delicious things like steaks, chillis, soups, stews etc. Being /fit/ is more about what you don't eat (e.g. goyslop, processed sugar, sneed oils, processed/packaged foods in general).

Count your calories on MyFitnessPal or a similar app, go for a 500 cal deficit. What I like to do is eat two big meals that have veg, a serving of two of fruit, and a protein shake. For recipes, I like mealprepmanual, damo, and Ethan chlebowski. Also, I like to limit my cooking to one meal a day, and have the other one be stuff I cook in advance and heat up. Also hitting your fiber goal is super important, and if you aren’t hitting it, try psyllum husk like Metamucil or chia seeds. Peas also have lots of fiber, and carb balance tortillas.

Healthy foods taste better than garbage foods. You have to retrain you palate and learn what "healthy" foods you enjoy. If you're following fit they focus on macros and micros (the smart ones do both). Macros are the easy one. Sear a steak in butter. Or scallops. Then serve it on a pile of sauté'd greens. Really you want to think of it like a big fatty piece of meat with a mountain of fibrous fruits and vegetables to go with it. The more refined products you have in your diet that day the more fibrous foods you need to get. Cutting out sugars and refined carbs will help that a ton. Replace them with other delicious foods that are better for you.

Another way to look at this is nutrient density. A mountain of asparagus, onions, and bell peppers fried in the butter you basted your steak in has far more nutrients than refined sugar or bleached wheat flour. What you need to do here is learn which nutrient dense foods you like the most, and get your macros in. ESPECIALLY fibers, fixate on this shit until you figure it out.

The healthiest diet in the world is the Mediterranean diet. It is fat, fiber, protein, and carbs. Oils, greens/tomatoes, chunks of grilled meats, and some rice or breads. You can eat all of that in huge portions and get lean and /fit/. What makes you fatty fat fatterson is when that combo is a refined bun and a greasy burger with almost no fiber to flush your system, potatoes stripped of nutrients in gutter oil, and corn syrup with food coloring and caffeine.

/fit/ will tell you to eat 5 times a day. But truly fat people snack all day (this is what really makes them fat). So why are they the same? Because /fit/ is eating their favorite fibrous vegetable with a tasty dip and fatty is eating seed oil chips or a candy bar. There's a billion recipes that are delicious and will burn quickly while rebuilding your body post-workout. Start finding stuff you really like and replacing the shit.

Eat less food overall or eat delicious food that's good for you. Consider fasting between meals; OMAD is the classic fatty fixer. Also, just stop being addicted to goyslop.

>> No.19159710

>>19159699
I want to be clear here as it is confusing which gets overwhelming. It isn't that you don't want carbs. Or sugars. You want nutrients and that's what you should look out for. Carbs surrounded by nutrients include rice. Sugars surrounded by nutrients includes fruits. Or even whole grain "brotein pancakes" with maple syrup (maple is really fucking good for you).

Burn the fat, feed the muscle. Focus on learning how to get good fiber and very nutrient dense carbs. The protein is the easiest part. Don't get any supplements until you actually need them to hit a macro target. If you don't know what that is you aren't ready. Just focus on shopping and cooking for now.

Stop eating not delicious food. Before anything goes in your mouth ask yourself: "will this piece of culinary art bring enlightenment to my life?"
If the answer is "no it's just goyslop and I'm bored," then don't eat it.
