The waffles are fine, as is anything they cook on the griddle in front of you (breakfast meats, burgers, hashbrowns, eggs, etc). Avoid any pre-packaged garbage like salads. Waffle House around me has suffered the same fate as Denny's where it only attracts methheads and dark types who are looking to cause problems.

But the last time I went and had a pleasant experience I got them to make me something that isn't on the menu. I got a plate of hashbrowns with scrambled eggs, bacon, and steak on top smothered with sausage gravy. It was pretty fucking delicious and super cheap considering it was legitimately just them throwing shit together.
