Steak is always touted as some great manly food that is absolutely delicious.
But most times whenever I've had it it's always incredibly boring and disappointing.

Especially when I've gone and made it myself.
Medium rare is too chewy and tasteless and well done is even more chewy but with somewhat of an actual flavour...

Steak, beef really, has it's own flavor. Ground or in it's many cuts and the flavor varies, some parts are more gamey, others more fatty and it is far different from pork, chicken or lamb.
Maybe you thing it's tasteless because you're awful at cooking? Seriously all steak needs is salt and pepper to be delicious, especially if it's a rib eye like your picture.
Obviously less fatty pieces like sirloin need a little help, but there's a myriad of ways to help it out.

And really at the end of the day, if you don't like steak then just don't buy it, maybe the fucking price will go down.
I genuinely love steak but I mostly eat chicken because of the price, and I mostly eat chicken legs even though I'd prefer thighs or breast meat, legs are just dirt cheap, but the bones are good for stock, so eh.

I've been saying for years I'd rather have a fried porkchop than a steak. AFAIK, it's the same "cut" of meat as, say, a t-bone or ribeye or porterhouse (which are all more or less the same part of the cow/pig).

Its a fun meal to occasionally eat a tenderloin steak properly cooked and seasoned, with appropriate sauce and sides ofc.
Steak alone is boring as is every food where theres no enough variation, and you dont want to eat it too often unless you're doing some rich mans keto thing.

I probably would choose a tartar 50% of the time since its fun texture and flavor wise.
