The best sauces are home-made. I've made home-made bbq sauce (Carolina style) many times. Once, somebody stole a whole gallon of it at a party. Actually kind of a complement.
In another thread recently, I listed off about twenty different ingredients (including many pre-made sauces) I can use to make burger sauces. Every time I think about it, I remember something else I already have in the kitchen. Honey just now, for instance.
Here's a simple one: mix ketchup, mayo and mustard. De-lish.
