Can't ignore my man Assad with his request.
For me it's the humble chicken broth with whatever veggies I can toss in: boil the bones and skin in water mixed with salt, cumin and garlic, take those out after 15 minutes or so and then cook in there potatoes, onions, carrots, tomatoes and some red pepper maybe.
I like to fry the onions and a bit of shredded carrot on a pan before throwing them in, while the chopped potatoes, carrots and tomatoes go first in the boiling water to soften up in the heat.
I save the chicken for something else, but it can go in there too if I cook it when making the broth.

I know /ck is going to flay me, but Raguesa’s chicken soup 101 is a good start. It’s easy, but takes a while to prepare. It’s good for freezing tho.

What is Assad’s favorite meal?

As for soups, I enjoy a nice tomato soup with some grilled cheese sandwiches on the side (I make two of em and cut em into quadrants of four cute little squares. A nice little meal to dip in the ‘mato while enjoying the soup itself.

Here’s an odd soup from escoffier cook book, white consommé is just chicken stock and instead of pressing through a sieve use a blender. Could also replace fresh tomatoes with canned whole, in fact I recommend that. At that point just sauté the veg add the rice and chicken stock. Cook then blend, easy and cheap tomato soup.

Miso soup.
Literally buy dashi.
Miso
and sake+mirin+soy sauce.
Heat up water, add dashi + those 3 things, cook alcohol off.
Cool down, add miso.

Ready.
You can also slice tofu or anything you want after. This shit is so basic
