Plenty of juices in the US have added sweeteners. It's nearly impossible to find real cranberry juice, and most of our orange juice is adulterated as well. I don't know about carrot juice, but I know mixed juices including carrot juice tend to have sugar added.

Juice is healthier than soda sure but it's just as calorie-dense, which fatties who need their sugary drink at all cost don't realize and so they replace soda with juice, don't notice any change in their weight and come to the conclusion that juice is as bad as soda.
