I used to eat them like popcorn.
Then one day, I just got burned-out on them, haven't had one in years.
That said it's trashy, gas-station-level food.

For something with so much cheese, beans, and salt they're very bland. They're edible if you toast them up and eat with hot sauce. The only decent microwave burritos are the Trader Joe's ones that aren't frozen

>> No.18922196

>>18921972
They're okay. Their real advantage is that you can easily spruce them up into something better as you could with, say, instant ramen.

They're bland and whatever on their own, but like >>18922196 said, they can be turned into something good.
Like if you microwave them with enchilada sauce and mexican cheese, and add whatever other toppings.
They can form the foundation for a good and extremely low effort meat

Those from OP are pretty much bottom of the barrel but can be found pretty anywhere and are sometimes in hotel rooms that have microwave ovens so when you get there real late at night or early in the morning after a flight and taxi ride people have something to knaw on.

What world are you in that 8 burritos for like 5 dollars is more expensive than a whole thing of flour tortillas - which is NOT $2 you fucking lying faggot, mommy didn't' tell you the current price apparently - and refried beans which are not a dollar either let alone for 3, and shredded cheese is nearly 3 dollars everywhere in America right now as well. you're spending like 15 dollars instead of around 6 or 7 and spending way longer preparing shit. Why do people like you even fucking come to 4chan instead of going for your redditgold over there?

OH JUST LET ME GO TO MY GRAIN SILO AND GET MY BEANS SO I CAN OVERNIGHT SOAK THEM AND GO MILL MY WHEAT SO I CAN MAKE A FRESH AND CHEAPER TORTILLA! Fuck off.

Even the cheapest ass walmart brand tortillas are not as cheap as you're talking for 20 of them - almost all of them are 3 to nearly 5 dollars and the cheapest is at 2 and all those are packs of 10 or the "street taco" style which is about the size of a half dollar. Why does everyone on here have ZERO idea about food prices? Does nobody on here do shopping on their own or does mommy and daddy buy all their groceries? And yes, I'm samefagging and doubleposting.

This. At least with Totino's/Stouffer's/Marie Callender's frozen stuff- it has taste of SOMETHING. I have never ever had an El Monterey frozen product that actually had any sort of flavor profile. It's just matter that exists. It's fucking weird.

if you only eat them occasionally they're great.
i like to bake them until the edges on the outside are golden brown, open them up with a knife and add cheese, then you use either hot sauce or pic related.
some veges too if i feel like it, maybe even turn it into a salad. i love lettuce or whichever leafy greens with "mexican" food.
