>How can I each cheaply but with some flavor
The "flavor" part is actually not expensive. Garlic powder, hot sauce, etc will last you weeks.
You WILL only buy the cheapest possible rice and beans (bulk). You WILL eat only the cheapest possible chicken and pork cuts. And you will be happy.
Go to the food bank and snatch some canned bullshit and pasta. If you are American or west European, you have free food available - literally nobody starves to death in these places.

Also
>Downgrade your internet to the cheapest one possible
>Downgrade your cell phone bill to "pay as you go"
>cancel any subscriptions if you still have them. Download kinos overnight if you must
>bundle up and shut off your heating
>Very obvious: don't spend any money on alcohol or cigarettes

freeing up 80 a month gives you plenty of budget for one person per month. As long as you don't snack a lot w/ preprocessed stuff like cheez its and oreos, you don't eat out at restaurants, and you don't buy dumb shit like steak every night. Whole chickens are nice since you get 2 breasts 2 thighs 2 drums and like 4 wings, so it's a solid choice for ~$7. Chicken breast whole as a meal is good but it's much better chopped or sliced and used to add to other meals i.e. topping salads, in wraps, or with spaghetti. Chicken might be rising in price due to the whole bird shortage whatever, so look for alternatives for protein like fish, pork, and turkey. keep in mind the price per pound and the calories/protein per pound to give you a cals/protein per dollar. buy generic brand as much as you can, it isn't a huge step down. Don't start buying a ton of bulk shit if you don't need it. Yes it's cheaper by the pound, but if you're strapped for cash it's wiser to buy an $5 8oz bottle of olive oil that might last you a month compared to a 128oz jug of olive oil that'll last years. When you're well off, you can buy in bulk, but the high upfront cost disincentivizes buying in bulk when you're low. It's sad to say but you will have to take hits like that sometimes.

theres so much free media available, theres really no excuse for paying. If you still want the convenience of streaming without the cost, i recommend tubi.

for gaming on a budget, you cant do much better than gamepass ultimate

For cell phone, i highly recommend tello. I pay $10 bucks a month, no contract. works off sprint network so pretty reliable

Also lower your car insurance to liability only if you havent already

For food (ie the actual topic), rice and beans lmao

Start driving for uber eats. You can usually earn enough to buy yourself a meal in the same amount of time it would take you to prepare it yourself (1hr), and it lets you cash out immediately. I have a friend in a similar situation and that's how he stayed afloat while he figured out a different living situation.

Unironically find a food drive. Almost none of them ask for any personal information or proof of unemployment or shit like that. My grandparents run a church and their food drive just asks for a name and address so they can prove they're actually donating the food to people. They wpuld often give my family the leftover stuff when they had extras and we'd get decent shit like veggies, pasta and sauce, tuna cans, lots of non perishable food mainly

i just eat lentils and rice for half my meals because i'm lazy as fuck, can cook a gigantic batch and just eat it for the rest of the week
>dice onion and garlic and fry it up
>pepper, salt, coriander
>dump in lentils and broth
>cook for a while
>serve over rice
wa la

if you want to go ultra poor mode replace broth with water, omit the onion and garlic, and use leftover ramen powder packets of flavor
cheap, filling, nutritious, doesn't taste half bad, gives you regular bowel movements

>EBT
he probably makes too much to get EBT. the income cutoff is somewhere around someone working a part time, almost-minimum wage job

if i was in this situation, i would eat a fuckload of oatmeal - very cheap, healthy macros with lots of fiber, and fills you up well. yogurt, too, if you can get it cheap. meat is generally expensive for the nutrition that you get, so i'd focus on staples like oats, potatoes, rice and supplement with dairy protein/fat sources like yogurt/milk/cheese/butter. usually i'd suggest eggs as a great cheap protein/fat source, but apparently egg prices are high right now. see if you can get some cheap/discount whey protein

worse comes to worse, you can donate plasma twice a week to get some grocery money, but i would avoid it if you can
