What do you make for yourself, when you want to die but you don't want to kill yourself? What gets you through a depressive episode?
For me, it's schnitzel and käsespätzle, also fried some cabbage in the same far as I fried the pork. It'll never be as good as grandma's, but it lifts me up.

lookin good dude. top the käsespätzle with crispy fried onions next time for ultimate comfort
grilled cheese with homemade bread is my go-to. roasted brussels sprouts are also weirdly comforting for me

I'm a messy boy. My kitchen was a wreck by the time I was done cooking, but I've put it back together.

I usually do that but I didn't have no onions today, and I didn't feel like walking next door to the Safeway to buy more.

I bought a bunch of typical korean stuff like that chili paste in a container, rice cakes, ramyun, kimchi, so I can make some army stew, pig out, and pass out an hour later from all the sodium

Sichuan style hotpot, the 50/50 hotpot base/chili oil style with lots of lamb (my fav).

Soup is super comforting always, and the process of cooking and enjoying hotpot is laborious enough that it takes your mind off everything else.

I don't think you understand that I could eat only this for every meal for a week
