I don't know why you people complain to much about corn syrup. When I went to the US I tried your sodas with that corn syrup and it tasted really good.

Fat people like to blame everything but themselves for their failures. The only real sugar pop I prefer is Pepsi. It actually tastes better vs hfcs Pepsi, but the real sugar dew tastes worse to me vs hfcs dew.

Because it's packed into everything and only is popular because of government intervention (corn subsidies), plus it would be really hard to get funding to look into the actual effects of corn syrup versus actual sugar. Plus in America avoiding corn syrup basically means avoiding sugar, which means healthy, so people assume corn syrup unhealthy. That's not entirely incorrect, as added sugars are generally unadvisable, but people single out corn syrup because it's so common.

It’s mostly a placebo. I’ve been to europe, and the sodas there taste identical to the hfcs versions in the US. The ‘real sugar’ ones in the US don’t taste anything like the regular european ones.
For example; on the flight over I ordered a coke without even thinking about that it was a euro market one. Didn’t notice any difference, and didn’t even realise it was a euro market coke until I happened to look at the can and see that the nutrition labelling on the back was the EU one.

Corn syrup is actual sugar. The scientific name for table sugar is sucrose. Sucrose is a compound of fructose and glucose. HFCS is a compound of fructose and glucose specifically refined from corn. Corn syrup is just the fructose in isolation. HFCS is literally just sugar in syrup form.

You have shit taste buds then. The real sugar/"mexican" variants of every hfcs soda ive had is incredibly superior flavorwise. Its very easy to tell the difference and i really do not like the hfcs versions comparitively.

Funfact: the primary sugar used in sodas in the european market is made from sugarbeets using the exact same process used to produce hfcs. The resulting syrup is chemically and molecularly identical to hfcs. The reason european sodas don’t specify this is because food labelling laws are much more lax in the EU (they only have to say ‘sugar’, not what specific kind of sugar like is required in the US).

Nobody outside of 4chan uses it, and it’s almost alway used facetiously to refer to any cultural institutions the poster disagrees with
>this music is goyslop
>that religion is goyslop
Ultimately the word always only used to criticise america rather than be an objective description of anything. Just another one added to the pile like ‘golem’, ‘mutt’, ‘burger’, ‘shart’, ‘globohomo’ and so on.
