Honestly I believe the reason they don’t do this more often boils down to the fact that it’s more difficult to maintain. There’s more product that you need to store and more you need to teach your employees. Generally speaking with fast food places you want as few ingredients that you need to restock as possible

Few places are owned by the same company and therefore able to collab like that. Back at school, there was a KenTacoHut just off campus and where I live now, there used to be a KFA&W.
A much rarer combo, because I think half of it has ceased to be, is Arthur Treachers/Nathan's. It's a shame, cuz AT was the absolute tits.

I really can't think of another company like Yums that owns multiple national fast food companies. I mean it would be funny if Brinker or Darden did something like this with their casual sit down chains but they want to keep the properties separated so you don't know about their dominance. Yums should go all in at least one location with a KF Bell Hut Silver and W.

Oh, another combo that was weird: Pizza Hut Express/Wawa. It was like a regular Wawa, but the PHE part of it operates more like a Little Caesar's than a proper Pizza Hut. The pizza is kept ready to go. You walk up, grab one, pay for it at the till along with your gum, the gas on pump 4 and whathaveyou then gtfo.

Because A&W is pretty awful, it's market segment is Wienerschnizel. It is old-fashioned slop that exists only because you want a chili dog but don't want to get off your fat ass to eat it. KFC isn't good either but shitty coleslaw doesn't compensate for crappy fried chicken versus anywhere else now. And since mashed potatoes are a literal dollar anywhere besides KFC, A&W is the only thing they can really put there and not have it be weird like a Green Burrito/Wendys is.

The only KFC/LJS combo I've seen was in the 'hood. Like, imagine the hoodiest 'hood you've ever seen, basically an area Detroiters would be like "yeah, nah" about if asked if they'd go there. Super fucking 'hood.
They didn't even let people inside the place. Drive-thru only or walk-up window. AND! Both the drive-thru and walk-up had a turnstile type thingy so would-be robbers couldn't climb through and steal shit. Decent food, tho. The place is gone now, destroyed in The Chimpening of late spring 2020.

Most of the PH/KFC/TBs have been turned to single restaurants, although you still see a lot of A&W/Long John Silvers and KFC/Long John Silvers
