If you're interested they're really stupidly easy to make (the ramen eggs).
put the following in a container that will hold about 6 eggs. I use a quart sized deli container.
- 100ml soy sauce
- 100ml mirin
- 500ml water

Now either steam or boil eggs for 6.5 minutes. After the 6.5 minutes you want the cooking process to stop completely so run cold water right into the pot. You can peel the eggs either when still warm or let them cool idk doesn't matter. Anyway put the eggs in the container and let them sit there for at least 2 days in the fridge. Make sure there's something over the eggs to make sure they dont bob out of the water. A paper towel will work, just push it down on top and it's fine. Be delicate tho the eggs are easy to split until they cure. I never have them last that long so I've never eaten one I made over a week ago, but I've heard they should be fine for a couple weeks in the fridge in the brine.
