It's just bad cooks. It's a bunch of premade stuff thrown into a bowl, and they know that, so they have to add something to take themselves seriously and it always ends up worse for it. Like when people buy a log of cookie dough and assume it's not good enough, so they add this and that until the original flavor is stretched out and it's just pointless food instead of a real treat.
