I've been on SNAP. Even just for myself it is the absolute bare minimum of nutrition assuming you have the time and ability to cook every meal and you will still lose weight.
Most people will be using SNAP to buy fast food and will run out long before the end of the period.

It's also pretty cruel that SNAP has such a limited item base. Can't even spend that shit on toilet paper.

I've seen this posted so many times I stopped looking at it a long time ago, but looking at it now I realized that it's actually really close to a lot of what my typical grocery trips look like (for one person). Even with inflation you can absolutely get everything in that image for less than $29. She was obviously shopping at the most overpriced Hollywood Hills grocery store.

In this case i would go with my go-to combination of chicken, peas, rice, egg and kale/broccoli.
As alternative jacketed potatoes with sour cream or cheap cheese is filling and gives you all nutrients you need. If you can afford, garnish with herbs.
Lastly, you can eat white rice with salt/butter and have some cod liver on the side. It gives you nasty farts but it's like 3 bucks per serving.
Avoid berries, red meat and shrimp. While delicious they are too expensive.
Frozen pizza can be obtained for cheap. While calorie dense, it is unhealthy to rely on it long term.
So yeah, it is possible but you might snoop out the best deals in your area.
