I know that people here haven't cared about the presentation a meal for a long time, but I'm here to voice how important presentation is.

Presentation is equally important to how a meal tastes because a good presentation psychologically primes seone to believe the food tastes good because it looks good.

Picrel is a snack I made for myself this afternoon, even though the snack was just for me, I ensured the meal had good presentation and looked delicious (it was delicious) by layering the ingredients carefully instead of just throwing it all together without a thought or care. I'm glad I treated myself to such a meal and will be ensuring the presentation of meals I make for myself are just as good as how I present them for others.

I hope you never present a meal to anyone other than yourself

Anon I hope you're memeing because honest presentation is just as important as nice presentation. Your plate is "bone app the teeth" tier.

Well, I haven't had the opportunity to cook for someone else in over a year now, but I'll be going to stay with my mother next week for a few days, I will likely cook her a curry.

That plate is a good breakfast plate. I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say.

What ingredients did you use here? Let me hand you your plate back the way it should be. Like a lottery winner, you stumble upon high culture and seek to imitate it, unaware of the greater conditioning which naturally raises cultured folk. Swine in suits still slide in sties.

The cheese is fromoger d'affinois. The meat is, the sausage is a caramelized Angus beef, the bread is a multigrain from my local bakery and the sauce is actually a Turkish jelly.

That actually sounds pretty good.

I am glad some people who appreciate the art of meal presentation still lurk /ck/, more and more I see people just throwing things together and gloating without a hint of irony that they have succeeded. Maybe I'm just a little autistic and have unreasonably high standards for food, but I feel if you believe if you are posting food and taking pride in it, then it should be something worth being posted, something you would gladly serve to someone else.
