Cast Iron subreddit is full of MORONS... They will debate all day about if it is physically possible to fry an egg without it sticking to the pan, some of them calling bluff on those with success LOL, and some of them have tried for years without success. Nigga, I do that every day in my grandpas pan he used to cast lead in. IT NEVER STICKS AND I AM READY TO DIE. Only cheese could stick to cast iron. If you can't get Cast Iron right, maybe you belong on welfare.

yeah thats why I would never touch a used cast iron pan. I always hear about people melting lead and shit in them.
also vintage pans are a meme. my dirt cheap no name brand pan started off with a surface like a truck bed liner and nothing sticks to it.

Yeah I don't get it either. Maybe they don't preheat? Use the pan I got from my grandma everyday and nothing ever sticks. Wipe it down with a paper towel to clean up. Seems impossible to fuck up. Maybe the pink salt rub I do a few times a year is the secret?

You shouldn't ingest heavy metals, anon. Lead doesn't come out, it's like old-timey micro plastics.

If you allow the cheese to crisp up, it automagically releases from the pan, so even cheese doesn't stick.

Nothing sticks to cast iron if you're putting pig blubber on it daily like you're supposed to but yes I can cook eggs on a dry pan and it'll start sticking only after the 3rd set. And the set 3 will be burned.

>> No.18595378

Idk if it counts as food sticking but there's so much glaze/fond I have to get off it because I cook a lot of meat

You should be using pig blubber every day, regardless. Pig fat makes things taste better.

So what you're saying is you enjoy scraping eggs off of pans? That's a fascinating hobby you have there.
