americans have a habit of lying on food packages
unless youre canadian then i dont know whats going on

You know, I went out of my way to buy some Duke’s and I just don’t see the big deal. It’s fine mayo but it’s not changing my outlook on life or anything. Not shitting on it just honestly what I think

Usually American food labeling doesn't straight up lie, but their version of honesty is a masterclass in pilpul. Take American cheese for example. At no point on the label do they lie and suggest its cheese. It's very clear that what you're buying is American flavor pasteurized processed sandwich slices.
Dukes are just liars that can't even into pilpul.

>unless youre canadian then i dont know whats going on
What do you mean? I tried to see what the leaf labeling looks like, but I don't even think they sell Dukes in that economic zone.

I tried making mayo with (((vegetable oil))), it was runny and a waste of time.
>>18583623
>lard based mayo
Now were talking. I asked /ck/ about this after my failed foray. No one here actually makes food, so I didn't get any answer. Can you tell me about lard mayo? Can it be made with hand or with pic rel? How long does it keep?

There's literally nothing wrong with soybean oil

Whether or not soybean oil is good isn't the discussion. The point is Dukes are liars, and it's impossible for soybean oil to have been in their "1917 family recipe".

If you change the windshield on your car, is it no longer your car or does it become something intrinsically different?
Also, there's no reason to believe the packaging claims it's a
>Family recipe since 1917
It could very well be two separate statements
>Family recipe
>Since 1917
Either way if you keep pestering me I'll have my lawyers get in touch
