Fuck 'em.

I quit baking my own bread. The sourdough I make isn't as good as the store's and it makes me brahp the stinkiest farts. My sheets smelled so strange for a month.

Looks like a very fine pullman

I like the process of baking bread and I find i tend to prefer it to my bakery but I also have begun to mill my own wheat

Too lazy for sourdough but maybe ill try it again sometime soon. Its such a pain to keep alive and healthy

My wife actually made this, she's a good baker despite being from China.

Don't be so tough on yourself, you mill your own wheat.

How was your week?

I made my country’s traditional barley, rye and buckwheat bread. It keeps one full for a good time and taste better than it looks

Eh to be fair I was in over my head, but it still doesnt feel great. Money is always good

>>18570460
It looks decent. In hindsight I should have added less water than the recipe called for, as my flour was more coarse than needed. You can see some whear berries partially ground in these slices. The gluten development was less than Id like, the bread its a little too crumbly instead of chewy

I'll try it if you post the recipe instead of shilling your faggy channel

I found a recipe for "farmer's bread" in one of my cookbooks so I decided to make it. It's doing the bulk fermentation right now. Will post pics later. I'm pretty new to bread baking so hopefully it comes out alright.

This is why they score bread on top, so it rises in a predictable way

Im thinking you might also not have shaped the dough great and there was a seam on the side

>> No.18574736

>>18574412
Must have been a seam or something, though I thought I formed it properly. It looked good going into the oven. Tastes good. I'm dipping it in butternut squash soup.
