Both suck. You need an expresso machine. Expresso is for real men.

No one is in that much of a hurry. Just enjoy a regular goddamn espresso

A used to housesit for a family with an expensive espresso machine and I used it every single morning. I drink coffee daily, so if that's you then I think you'll do it too.

Getting the most out of a slicer means you're going to be regularly buying (and storing, and consuming) huge cuts of deli meat, for something that you probably won't use every day.

It's easier to clean and disinfect a used meat slicer. Get a new espresso maker, and find a used slicer. Theres professional ones too, on the used market

What does charcuterie have to do with cooking? It's a deli platter on a cutting board for Karens and male Karens. I eat my salami and olives standing in front of the fridge at 2:00am in my dirty underwear before pissing in the kitchen sink.

given the advanced state of broad retardation in society today, i'm not sure commercial meat slicers should be made available to the general public.

Butchers are hawking over these things like there's no tomorrow. If you find one second hand it's probably because it's shit and you're the last person to find out.

Charcuterie doesn't need to be cut à la minute, but never buy it pre-sliced, that's a disgrace and a waste of money: let the butcher do it in front of you as he should mince your meat in front of you as well.

The big exception is absolute top tier charcuterie: the kind that has a name attached to its ear when it's still running around in the meadows. That kind of meat is so delicate and burns so easily it's either cut with a Berkel (Google it) or manually: finally a good use for your Jap meme knife.

Espresso machines are overrated. Their first few coffees every day are crap. Water, roasting method and coffee variety are far more important than the machine. Just go housekeeping where they have a warmed-up espresso machine ready when you arrive, like this guy here.
