I ordered corned beef hash from a 50s style diner and they served it this way.
Is this a regional thing (I'm in Boston right now) , or a diner thing? I've always had hash chopped small with potatoes, rather than with the components separated like this.
Is not bad at all, just wondering about the style.

Might just be cheaper for them to buy potatoes and industrial sized cans of corned beef separately of they don't make large sized cans of corned beef hash

There are potatoes in the corned beef in that image, it’s served with a side of home fries as well.

im looking at the image closely and it looks like there is potatos mixed in with the hash, albiet a meager amount
That looks like a pretty typical diner breakfast and what i order if they even have corned beef hash.

Yeah it seems like fewer and fewer places offer it these days. It's kind of an "old man food" now. Which is a shame because it really is a timeless classic.

Finding picrel in a diner is even rarer

Looks like the cheap canned stuff.

If you want "gourmet", get the Palm canned corned beef from Costco and cut yer potato and cabbage and whatever. It's made from grass fed beef.
