Can we talk about the price of instant ramen? I thought this shit was suppose to be cheap?

I saw an old invoice of a delivery order for a box of x20 pic related for 16 euros. This invoice was 5 years old.

Now when I try to order the exact same thing, it will most me 30 euros. I understand inflation and shit ofcourse but holy fuck the price nearly doubled in the past 5 years.

What's price for you guys and do you still think instant ramen is cheap/affordable aka college student food.

1 or 2 dollars depending on the brand. It sucks that they're so expensive.

On another note. What are your favorite korean ramens? I found a store nearby that has a shit load of different korean ramens. Started with the buldak spicy chicken. Was nicely spicy.

I buy those 30 pack boxes of (spicy) Indomie off Amazon and they're in the ballpark of 20 bucks (that's 20.37 Euros) a box
Less than a dollar a pack seems cheap enough

If you can't find it locally, and are desperate enough to order it online, then you are admitting it's a "delicacy" in your eyes and the price will be as high as the market will bear. But also, Shin Ramyun is more of a "premium" brand here in Clapistan; if you want cheap ramen, you get Maruchan or Nissin.

All instant noodles are cheapass shit. Some are just better at pretending they aren't
Indomie is the best for taste, though, and no amount of shilling of other overpriced brands from Glorious Nippon or KPOPland will change that

yeah but those are shit and not worth eating. if you are poor there are better nutrients/$ foods and if you want a tasty snack without having to put any effort into cooking you're better off getting the better packs instead of fucking around with the cheap ones and then trying to do real cooking to make them taste good.

It's a meme food. People realized it's cheap as shit but okay tasting so companies picked up on that and now increase their prices. Weebism doesn't help either.
If you want cheap food you have to look for what other people aren't eating. Prepare for ze bugs to become the next ramen.

unless you're somewhere you only have access to a microwave or a kettle just buy uncooked packets of egg noodles and some low salt stock. they take all of 10 minutes to cook. Where I am it costs:
1kg of egg noodles for $3.10 which is enough for 10 servings of 100g, which is about the average for instant noodles depending on which brand.
Vegeta chicken stock 200g tin which is enough to make 100+ servings for $2.80.
So 60 cents per serving vs $1.40 per packet of shin ramyun (and that's only available in the 'bulk' pack of 5). And the good stock + uncooked noodles aren't filled with artificial chemicals & oil like the instant packets are.

I actually started buying bulk dry noodles when I realized they took the SAME TIME TO COOK and cost a fraction of the price.

Check the price on a kilo of dry noodles at your local gook shop- shits cheaper and has none of the trans fat.

Downside is that you have to cook dry noodles seperately, you can't just throw them into soup.
For yeeting into soup use starch noodles, mung bean or potato

It's good but I think I diluted the flavor with a bit too much water. That's why I added my own bacon grease. I didn't have any lard, or I would have just added a big glob of it to try to make the surface of the broth white like pic related.
>>18383383
Yeah it's not that flavorful compared to what you can get in a restaurant, but it's not offensively spicy and fragrant like a lot of other instant ramens. It's just comfy. I've tried the miso before, but I can never find the soy sauce flavor locally.
