Why come no one here bakes? No one ever makes bread but me and I'm not very good at it

because there are like 7 shops within 15 minutes walk that bake fresh bread every day

the bread ball at the top looks nice. would also eat the bread penis but only after the bread ball was gone.

I have made bread twice. Both times it was far more effort than benefit. Maybe if I were to make a bunch of garlic bread and use an entire fresh loaf at once then I might try making it again. After the first day (first couple hours desu) a homemade loaf tastes about the same as store bought.

Isn't worth my time. I sometimes make brioche-like buns tho. They last longer

I bake bread when I want some, but not often. it isn't a ton of work when you get used to it, and I enjoy it anyway, but it isn't worth the hassle unless I have something specific in mind. it often goes to waste. I do make pizza dough quite frequently, though.

I would love to see more baking threads. do any anons have something to show off, or questions about getting started? or need info about something in particular?

good call. maybe I should find some birds to feed it to after soaking it, or the squirrels in my backyard. I've gotten good at reviving old crusty bread in the oven but there's always a bit that gets too stale to resuscitate.

I bake but I'm not sharing photos of it with a bunch of zoomers who can't even fry an egg yet try to criticise everyone else's cooking skills.
