I use the following, not exact measurements I think I do a bit less sugar automatically.

Ground chill pepper (none of that sweet stuff cayenne powder, you may want to use that which the koreans use) 2tbs
tumeric 1 1/2tbs
teaspoon ground ginger

1tsp sugar, salt, garam masala

If it is a small portion like 2 meals I sometimes cut everything in half but I make sure to keep the garam masala 1 tsb and the tumeric 1 1/2 tbs
I also use a small pack of coconut milk.

Cheers. But don't get me wrong. Do NOT treat turmeric like an aromatic that you add towards the end. It absolutely has to be cooked to some extent (and preferably, exposed to oil in some indirect capacity). But just don't add it directly into the oil like a lunatic, and don't add it as an aromatic at the end either.

You seem knowledgeable though, do you have a good Korma recipe? I can do most other curries but my Korma is kinda bland and never nearly as good as a restaurants
