The post saying the board has been infested by children was obviously referring to the OP. I can't speak for anyone else, but the reason I've been coming to /ck/ for the past decade is that it's the only place that people are actually honest. Anywhere else on the internet and all the replies would be, "OMG, that looks SO GOOD!!", "you're amazing, bro! keep it up!!", "I NEED that recipe right now!!!". Fuck that shit. If I think your food looks like shit I'm going to tell you it looks like shit. Then 5 minutes later I'm going to make another post telling you what you could do differently the next time. That's how it's always been and hopefully that's how it always will be. If that's not your speed you can go literally anywhere else.

That's not even close to what I said. If anything, I'm saying that most of the quality posters left 6 or 7 years ago when this site got a huge influx of newfags on the fast boards and the drop in quality trickled down to the slower boards. Now it's so rare to see quality OC that it's no surprise that most of the replies are negative, but it's not the children making those replies; the children don't even open OC threads. They stick to their sneed, mcchicken, and ragusa meme garbage.

As far as a meal, it would be far less offensive if it was presented as two courses. Scramble as main, french toast as desert.
The dip mixture for the toast could be hanging out in the fridge while eating, the pan ready for high heat as you assemble the toast and melt butter. While it fries you begin soaking the previous dishes/cleaning off and throwing them in the washer.
Assemble french toast on plate, top with banana, syrup, whip cream (which is clearly from a can), easy peasy. Precut bananas can be kept from going brown when tossed in lemon juice.
A good first course would be a nonalcoholic tomato cocktail. They were very popular in the first half the 20th century, stimulate appetite and make up for any vitamin/fiber deficiences elsewhere in the meal. And can be mixed well in advance, or gotten straight from a bottle.
None of that would add considerably to the work you've already done to just make picrel
