he's not well liked by many posters here from what I've seen over the years, but I enjoy tubby matheson's cooking show, I think the title is something like "SCREAAMMMM AHHHHHH RATTLE AROUND A WHISK" - he's actually pretty funny when he's not being obtusely ignorant about people liking sports when it's obvious he's just mad he wasn't good at them growing up, but I digress. I've noticed that he often dumps what I consider absurd amounts of parsley on dishes I wouldn't even expect to see it, and I've been curious how the effect is. He mostly seems to cook "crowd pleasing" food, has French training, apparently his restaurants were decently successful, he has a qt wife and kids, so it cannot be the every decision he makes is horrible. Yet never in my life have I been eating something and thought, "you know what this could use? A bunch of parsley" - my main memories of it are it being included in stuff like a Ruby's kid meal for some reason off to the side as a kid and I didn't understand why, or people mistakenly calling kale parsley like two decades ago. holy shit what a blogpost my bad lads, to make it more topical, OP, since I'm presuming your a parsley appreciator, how should I apply it in upcoming meals?

I feel like marinades are a waste of ingredients. You soak the meat for a while and then you just toss all the good shit you put in the marinade.

That's why you should season the meat regulary with the spices and just add a little bit of the liquid. Everything that's not acidic is useless anyways.

I don't know what to add OP but I love parsley. I used to pick it from the garden, wash it under the hose and eat it just like that.

Lol wtf? Surely there was something better to eat in the garden

I think we all agree that parsley is one of the most dishonest seasoning/herb one could use for cooking.

Make a sauce with the marinade, derp.

Indeed it is a great herb.

WTF?

The thing is that most modern recipes just throw in spices in oil. You can't use this shit. Traditional marinades on the other hands are great in sauces like sauce poivrade.

People think tabouli is a bulgur dish, but it's really a parsley dish. The first time it tastes too much of parsley, the second time you can't get enough of that delicious parsley.
