Try it. You might like it.

Though maybe use a thinner sauce or add a fourth cup of water so it has more to evaporate and soak into the noodles.

Pasta must be cooked in water because it's not moist enough to soften on its own.
Cooking it in sauce is a tremendous waste of sauce and you'll burn the fuck out of it.
