It's literally just mozzarella cheese sprinkled on a tomato pie. I've had it multiple times because most of these places are common in Ohio (even though the first place that actually did this type of pizza is in Pennsylvania,) and Ohio is an hour drive max for me. It tastes better than most pizzas depending on the sauce. Crust is important but sauce is way more important, because it's more noticeable and stands out. Also you literally cannot fuck up sprinkling mozzarella on basically tomato pie.

Wish retards would stop being contrarians or base an opinion off of experiencing something rather than how it looks.

It's only done at DiCarlo's and a few other copycats nearby that area. They bake only the crust and sauce, then add cold shredded provolone cheese and cold pepperoni on top. The heat of the sauce melts the cheese that's closest to it and the cheese higher up stays unmelted. I've never had it but I want to try it someday, I just need an excuse to drive out to friggin Steubenville which is on the opposite side of the state from me.
