What is the strongest mint/gum available? Stuff that makes your mouth feel like a walk-in freezer. These don't hit like they used to.

I really like altoids but I hate that they only have four flavors and one of them isn't even mint. They used to have a shit ton of variety.

Or get Barkley's, they are basically Altoids, just a bit stronger. Also pressed properly, so they don't crumble everywhere.

Holy shit, this board legitimately does not know where food comes from. I didn't think the memes were real. It's literally just the pure extract of mint leaves that this shit is flavored with. If you want the strongest mint, you can literally just buy mint extract or flavoring or essence or whatever you want to call it. You can make your own out of the leaves or just buy a bottle of it from the grocery store.

They kinda suck, drilling holes in them is inconsistent because they're quite soft, and of course they're also conductive, so you have to isolate everything you put inside.

My idea was to hold them flat against a piece of scrap wood so they don't bend when you drill into them.

That's pretty much a requirement, especially with bigger holes. They have a stupid rim on the inside, so you can't just use a wooden block, it has to be a small piece that fits under it so it lies flush with the metal.

mint doesn't make your mouth feel cold, it makes it feel hot.
you're crap at detecting sensations.

Local shop only has spearmint, not menthol

>> No.17907300

First of all there are about two dozen varieties of mint, so acting like there's one flavor profile is retarded.
Also, acting like there's no cooling sensation to ingesting mint is even more retarded, science can even explain why-
"...the organic compound menthol (redolent in the leaves of mint) triggers the same protein sensory receptors in the mouth as does cold temperature while, say, eating ice cream.

In the case of both mint and cold that protein is TRPM8 (pronounced “trip M 8”). When we consume mint, it tricks our body into feeling cold although neither the body nor the mint may be. That’s why hot mint tea cools and especially why chocolate mint ice cream is a double powerhouse come July and August.

All plants related to mint do this, so when the dog days arrive, heed the cooling effect of basil, tarragon, oregano, sage and thyme, all members of Lamiaceae, or the mint family."
