This is like two or three more options than I go with in what I eat each day. For me, it's campbell's tomato soup with libby's vienna sausage or maruchan chicken ramen noodle blocks with an egg (scrambled). Regular coca-cola for drinks.
>>17815751
>I don't buy potatoes cuz they go bad
I don't buy produce for the same reason. If I end up not wanting to continue eating something when half of what I bought is still left I don't want to have to deal with having rotting food in the fridge months later. Cans of tomato soup last way longer and you can leave them wherever lying around in your kitchen.
Not sure how the rest of you can be bothered with managing a bunch of perishable ingredients and making different sorts of meals every day. That sounds exhausting and extremely obnoxious to keep up with even just for a week.
>Salt no pepper
I don't hate pepper but I care very little about whether or not it's used, in contrast with salt which is the most important part of flavor in nearly every popular modern prepared meal in existence

The issue isn't that it's hard to do. The issue is that it's even easier to not do, so I would always end up not doing it. Which is why I bypass the problem altogether by simply not buying perishable foods.
>>17816373
What does calling not buying a large enough variety of foods an "eating disorder" add to the discussion? You might as well say "you do things I disagree with," except I guess calling it a disorder is an attempt to give your opinion some sense of authority.

Just because someone doesn't prefer cooking and has goto meals instead of eating lots of different food doesn't mean he's doing that because he can't figure out how to cook. It's more often not wanting to cook, not a limitation of knowledge.
Pretty much anyone can fry an egg or throw meat in the oven. It's not zero effort though, and many don't want to expend that effort.

for a while all I ate was potatoes, onions and rice individually cooked in the microwave. sometimes a can of tuna, beef broth, or canned beef soup if I needed meat. if I was starving, throw in another onion or potato in the same plastic bowl. never drank water, only coke or mtn dew (been drinking soda since I could open the cans)

Not either of them but you are retarded. You could buy enough for one recipe, or you stop being a cooklet and learn to cook based off what you have available. Buying shit that goes into multiple dishes could help, things like onions, tomatoes, potatoes, all of which also have a pretty decent shelf life for produce and things that are used up quickly.

You’re just a retarded zoomer.

Fun factual story about my chicken boiling roommate: he once almost got me killed with his chicken boiling. On a night like any other, it had gotten late and he had started boiling his chicken before bed. I was dead asleep in the middle of the night when I was awoken by our fire alarm, down the hall from the kitchen. I quickly scrambled into action despite being half asleep and located the source of the smoke, a pitch black piece of extraordinarily foul-smelling chicken in a blackened pot devoid of all liquid with the gas still burning underneath. My friend had fallen asleep after forgetting about his boiled chicken and nearly burned our house down, and the kicker was he didn't even know what he'd done until I banged on his door after that whole mess and told him what happened. The stench of blackened metal and chicken didn't dissipate for nearly three days.

>You’re just a retarded zoomer.
I'm 36, friend.
>You could buy enough for one recipe,
Why would you go to a grocery store and buy only enough for one meal? Are you grocery shopping twice daily?
>or you stop being a cooklet and learn to cook based off what you have available.
None of what I posted said I can't figure out how to cook with what I have. What I said is I don't buy perishable food because I don't want to realize when I'm only partway through the perishable item that I no longer want to eat / drink it and end up having old rotting food or beverages in the fridge months later.
>Just buy perishable food and eat it even though you don't want to eat it.
Thanks for that brilliant take, fetal alcohol syndrome anon. It turns out a tomato is still a tomato even if you use it as part of two different meals. If I don't feel like eating tomato I'm not going to want to eat it in tomato sauce form on spaghetti either. Also you're doubling down on buying even more shit that will go bad if not used as your proposed solution to not wanting shit that will go bad.
And on what planet are non-canned tomatoes a long shelf life product? They can barely last 2 weeks in a refrigerator. Why do you hate non-perishable foods so much?
