Pretty sure that was for actual chicken like you get at a fried chicken joint, chicken patty fast food sandwich wasn't really a common thing in that era and even fried chicken was often seen as poor trash food than cheap fast food is now.

Jacks had it but mostly because they were all about finding angles to compete with other fast food with stuff like fried chicken and tacos, which still isn't common on burger joint menus.
