Peanut butter isn’t even close to being the best food ever created, it’s not in the debate, it’s not in the realm of possibility of even being considered as one of the best foods ever created, let alone THE best. It’s just a convenient product that tastes nice enough and goes particularly well with sweet products like chocolate. But don’t dare say it’s the best of anything, you can’t say peanut butter is in the same realm as a ribeye steak, or a rack of lamb or even a roast chicken, or bread or curry, stew, etc. even within condiments, mayonnaise completely destroys it, even as a nut the peanut is nowhere near the top of the pile. The cashew, the pistachio, macadamia, even things like walnuts and hazelnuts are better, and they go way better with chocolate too btw. So the best??? Not even close dude, it’s crazy or you to even consider such a thing. Hummus is also way better than it btw. It’s what peanut butter wishes it were, and even hummus isn’t that great, but that’s the type of level peanut butter is aiming at.

I remember reading a thread somewhere asking what are common American foods that the rest of the world finds gross. I was surprised that Peanut Butter was pretty contentious, with Europe really not liking it. I was pleased to find that SEA, India, and Africa were all in with it though.

Really just increased my belief that we need to let Europe go and begin leading the developing world into a better, more united, future.
