Domino's varies heavily franchise to franchise with quality. Where I live some are fucking horrendous. Better quality than pizza hutt, but the pizza hutt chewy sweet dough is unbeatable.

Domino's did a major pizza recipe revamp in the last 3-4 years or so and went from barely better than dry and flavorless cafeteria grade to something comparable to decent restaurant pizza at worst and sometimes better...a lot of people gave up on them before that switch so they still have that rep. Pizza Hut is almost the opposite; they used to be at least passable back when they started and had a good reputation for consistency over the years if not the greatest pizza ever....but they have steadily gone downhill over the years and rather than fix the food issues they just throw tons of ad money into what's left of the positive name recognition they have. People who remember it being ok are disappointed and say so, people who try it and are disappointed may just figure it was a fluke and try again but only people who don't care about quality and value are happy. AND their prices are just stupid high for that type of take out even if it were made well.
