Typically served at English cafes, known as 'greasy spoons' from morning until noon, but some places will serve it all day.
Traditionally very popular establishments with the working class, as the meals are cheap, substantial, and unpretentious.

Isn't full English popular with all classes now? While it did gain much of its popularity from the rising working class wolfing it down before going down into the tea mines but nowadays everyone from politicians to plumbers love a full English on the weekend. It's probably one of the few things that trancend our class barriers: You can find a good full English in the greasiest spoon or in the snootiest café. I'd even go as far as to say it's down right unpatriotic to not like it.

I remember when you made your own thread about this and argued extensively about how those are authentic Irish sausages, even though no Irish/British person has ever seen anything like them. They literally just put some kind of polish sausage in it and tricked you into thinking it was authentic. Oh, and that's the worst attempt at bubble and squeak I've ever seen. Snobby might not be the right word for those kinds of places. There are many, a few of which I've been to, that try for alternative styles of the full English, often adding more mediterranean ingredients to produce a lighter healthier composition. Nonethelss those are normall alternative hipster cafes looking for a USP. I live in London and pretty much all levels—working, middle, or lavish(I think describing dining as ever upperclass is silly)—are all aware that regardless of class a person wants a traditional style full English. Like I said, it truly is something that trancends class taste. Unlike other dishes there's little room for genuine alteration while still match the desired outcome: it always needs sausages, it always needs bacon, beans and eggs are a must, mushrooms are expected, black pudding and tomato are traditional. Frankly you see as much varition at all levels too when you think about it: cheaper places like to stick in hash brown and omit the blackpud, snobby places might scramble the eggs ect.

It's a food that's simple but allows for quality ingredients to shine without testing too bad if otherwise; it's hearty yet can be any size you like; it's traditional and timeless. When a man has eaten a full English, he can do anything

The sausage is 100% richmond.
The beans are obviously heinz
The hash browns are Mccains
Black pudding is those Bury Black Pudding pre slices
You're probably right about the tinned stuff
chopped tomatos definately

You notice how low effort something really is by the ingredients used aswell as execution.
1 of the eggs is way more done than the others.
Everything looks like it was put on one tray (sausage, bacon, black pud, hash browns) and into the oven together
Those beans are watery as fuck, no reduction at all.
Mushrooms are probably the only thing that saw any prep at all, and it is likely just a pile on a cutting board and pressing a knife into the pile
